are these good pistons for .030" over? I am concerned about compression ratio...just want to make sure I don't run into a problem with a stock-ish (bolt ons, stock cam, etc.) combination.
All depends on what your going to do with the rest of the project. I personaly am a fan of the 2488f piston if your block hasn't been decked. They have a taller compression height and no dish so it gets the compression up a little with no extra work. Those pistons won't make much compression and loose some power. Don't be afraid of compression as it actual helps when you start going larger cams and aluminum heads. As long as you keep it in tune you'll be fine.
