Bought a set of headers used from some guy. There seems to be a little damage around the collectors. Will this damage affect the seal? Sorry if the pictures are bad.

Should be fine with a decent gasket or red ( high temp) rtv.

File/grind/sand flat ,get all of most of it cleaned up.
Then use copper rtv and or soft alum. / copper Gaskets. You'll be fine.

Damn straight it should work do both above posts
Get the surface as flat as you can
Spray the gasket you are using and the header flange with copper coat

I'd fill the holes slightly with some extremeheat JB weld, sand it smooth and then use copper gaskets. A little overkill, but i'd rather do the job once.

Copper RTV is higher temp than Red. It is rated for 700 deg intermittent vs 650 for red.
