Richard is a grey haired Barbie doll. Aaron has the chops to get stuff done but I think discovery channel has their hands tied American chopper style.

Yeah, I'll give that to Aaron. You gotta wonder about a Ford guy who dislikes Mustangs and sells out to Dodge though.. Laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm burned out on it. Watching cars get flipped at auction or get tan in the parking lot waiting for a sucker to pay extra for it so he.can have 5 seconds on tv has gotten old.

Thanks, man. I wasn't sure I'd like them at first, but I wanted something different in a sea of cobra wheels. Not knocking cobra wheels, of course.. I just like to be different (says the guy with the aero nose fox.)

I was expecting after reading this for madmike to chime in with the usual lemming and/or belly button comment with a reference to a gila something-or-other.

I will not make any "sameness, Kumbya, give yourselves a group hug " comments this morning. Once you've sold your souls to the " me too devil", who am I to try and change it?

I wanted to talk more about the BS that are reality based car shows.

I've watched some of all of them. I hate most all of them. (Some way more than others) The made up "situations", the crush to complete the stupid deadlines, and the asinine side comments make me want to throw something at my TV. I can't watch them. If it's not the above mentioned peeves, it's the fact that shows like Musclecar are 12 minutes long, (actual content) with the other 18 given up to commercials. I have watched Roadkill, and I like that there are two editors w/ as much car guy history as those two have, getting dirty making some of the things that they do for the sake of the show, but again,....its too often that there is a 1200 mile roadtrip in some heap that ends up on ebay. It's no secret,.....I hate false, phony people, and I can't stand monotony.
It's supposed to be "reality" TV. There is almost nothing real about the versions of the day to day operations any of those shows depict. The show I'd watch would probably be on APT. It'd be one guy in his garage building a car over the course of the season (or multiple seasons) w/o the made up phony situations, w/o the BS deadlines. The sideline comments would be about the goals, and the progress. If something stupid or funny happened during that show, it'd be because it actually happened, not because a producer decided that they needed to "spice " things up.

I'd watch the Scott builds a show car show, I'd watch the Collin makes a 30 year old Mustang reliable show, for diversion I'd watch the Allen and his Kid show for the sake of the father and son thing, I'd even watch the Nick builds a race car show.............wait a minute.......maybe I already am.

Mike, you need to watch a show with Ian Roussel's show Full Cistom Garage, the guy is a true craftsman. He builds wicked rides from nothing and has amazing fab skills. No drama, BS, or story lines. He's a one man shop that does it all ina crappy garage with all hand tools.I think you will appreciate his skills.

Well, sister is about to get her license, so junior will be handing over the keys to mama's old car to sis. Junior will be driving the flareside while working on the fox.. so he's getting to know it. No more work on his fox until football season is over it looks like.

It's got a gremlin in the efi that the previous owner has chased for a looong time. I know it'll get a lot of groans, but we're carbing it. When he's done with it I have a 351w I'm going to stroke for it.

Still makes me smile lol. Ive heard "get your hands dirty" but gotta say it's a first to "get your feet dirty" while working on a vehicle. Like the stroker 351 idea also. Plenty of torque for a heavier ride and would be a lot of fun. Truck looks like a fun project.

This thing has had a bad valve cover leak for years, so it is pretty greasy. We are going to fix that while we're in it, and clean it up and paint the covers. When we closed the shop up last night i literally gave him a scrub brush and a bottle of dawn to clean his feet up before i let him in the house.. lol.

That shop looks like it will be filled with lots of good father and son memories. Good on you buddy!

What's the status on the hatch? I saw the youtube video you posted of somebody pushing the turbo car really fast down the road while the camera person made pretend engine sounds Looked real!

Lol.. you have no idea how hard it was pushing that car!

The boy's hatch needs the roof finished still and a few dings on the quarter.. more primer.. paint, interior. Just time. He is all about footbal right now.. they are undefeated this year and it's no surprise his coach keeps them at practice so late. We've pretty much agreed we'll pick back up on it when the season is over.. and the truck is closer to being on the road.

My car is almost there I think.. had to swap the fans out because the Mishimoto set wasn't cutting it. Installed contour fans this weekend and I still need to modify the aluminum overflow tank. Bracket needs to be cut loose and rewelded in a diff spot. Fingers crossed this fan does the trick!

There was something mentioned about an acceleration comparison to see how the turbo fox does against a newer model. Any news on that front?
