As promised,

I picked up gooey rope in a roll.

You can buy it in a kit from the mustang place... Or if you have all of the nuts, you can spend 17 bucks.

In the car

This weekend we are going to install door handles and do paint finishing. Hopefully.

Man, that's a very nice paint job. You should be proud of yourself. I like it a lot.

Wow. Thank you. I am proud of it, mostly because i got the metallic even. The clear not so much, but like you said, that just takes time to finish out.

Think of it like this, it's not a drag race but a marathon. The bond you and your son have with this car will make him appreciate it so much more than something you could've handed him the keys to.

That is very true. I was joking with him after we painted it.. I told him i was going to pull the turbo kit off my car and trade him, and he got bent, lol. NO WAY!!! He said. Not happening! He loves his car.

There's no dragging required. Houston is a day trip. The monster was built for day trips. If I can make it, seems the least other people can do is drive their non-turbocharged, non solid roller cammed, non belt driven external oil pumped, street car a similar distance.

No junior, I'd be coming to meet up with you and Collin. I was talking about anybody else daring enough to drive their street cars 600 miles in a day.

Ah, ok. Yeah, I'd love to do that with mine, too. Unfortunately, I don't completely trust it yet. 100 mile round trips are the most I've braved yet. Baby steps.

He has a set of draglites. I bought some 15x7s for the front and put some 225/60-15s on them and put the skinnies in the corner.

No. I'm waiting until Saturday to let the clear harden better. I'm not going to do the entire car, just some spots with surface flaws.
