Ashamed for us

I live in Alabama and I was ashamed that one guy tried to race a completly unprepared 95 then the guy that stepped up to race for him completly lifted and gave the first race away to a slow Toyota that was having problems.:notnice:
Atleast his car ran though unlike the blue 95.

When did they show that episode? I was at that taping.

The blue mustang was a complete pile. Wouldn't stay running, keep stalling out, couldn't even do a decent burnout. They were completely unprepaired. I don't know if they showed it, but the blue mustang ended up breaking something in the front suspension. The wheel had about 3-4 inches of fore and aft movement.

The toyota was a piece of junk too. It would leave pretty hard in 1st and then start popping and missing in the higher gears. The pass where the guy in silver mustang lifted, that was the only run where the toyota pulled hard on the top end. :nonono: Any other run from the toyota and the silver mustang would have won easily.

Too bad the guy in the silver mustang had starter problems. I think he damaged the flexplate teeth. Lots of metallic noise when he tried to crank it up. It was a sweet car that ran pretty hard. His first pass, when he lifted the front wheels for 60 ft was awesome!

I hope they replay it soon.

who shows up to a race with a popped headgasket?

they should have aborted that episode.

NO KIDDING! If I was going to be on Pinks, I sure as hell wouldn't bring a car that ran that poorly. That's just embarrassing.

I'm surprised they didn't abort. The blue car and the toyota farted around for 2.5 hours before the blue car finally broke. All together, that episode took over 3 hours to film.

If I went on the show I would damn sure loose because it got out run not because my car broke. Come on you know if you are knocking, or have head gasket problems, coolent problems, break fluid leaking problems. They just dont show up at the track with you and say, "I am here too, I think I will make you blow a head gasket, and how do leaking breaks sound? is that okay with you ?" It seems like it happens every week, I can remember an episode where a car won by actually winning, and not the other guy having a piece of **** car. I saw that episode this morning and I t sounded pretty bad for the silver mustang you could hear that the starter wasn't just loose like he kept trying to make us believe. The toyota had a lot of work done, that was a supra motor and all but a supra with that much work would bearly run 12 seconds, so a 1000 pound heavier car couldn't have been more than a 13 second car. I could have out talked him and one in my 6cyl dodge pickup truck.

I just finished watching the episode and it was painful to watch. The toyota was a piece of junk and could of been beat by an old lady in a walker, they might of had to spot her a walker length or two but she would have won.
For all those that have digital cable it was available on demand.

I dont know whats going on with Pinks lately, first two Chevy motors and now two Mustangs that cant make it down the track, I dont know what to say.

And did anyone see the guy who ran 14.5ish in his '03 Cobra on Pass Time.

HAHAHA yes, that kid was a total noob. One of the contestants asked him if he was running any power adders and he immediately responded "no". So that supercharger counts for nothing? You could hear it whining down the track, so it definitely was a Cobra, not just a look-a-like. He just had no idea what he was doing.

Nothing but a bunch of lemons on that show lately. It seems everyone is just bringing in the biggest pile they can find and hoping to get lucky. Pinks all out is way better. I watched an episode of Pinks lately where one guy's car (chevy nova I believe) was leaking coolant everywhere and the track official let him run! To add to the bull, he knew he wasn't going to win (blown head gasket and other problems) but wanted to go down the track just to blow the motor! He almost hit the wall! He risked his life so he wouldn't give the other guy a motor!:notnice:
