I live in the Atlanta area and I have no idea where to go for a major engine upgrade. Here's what I'm getting done in the somewhat near future:

1. Rebuild stock engine to a 306 with a stroker kit from CHP (or similar)
2. Add aluminum heads and emissions friendly cam
3. Kenne Bell standard 2.2L kit (8 or 9 psi will be used)
4. All upgrade items will be emissions friendly. Smaller upgrades like MAF will be added and whatever else is necessary for this combo.
5. Finally, a dyno tune will need to be done for a custom chip.

I could get a 306 crate motor from CHP. Maybe a crate motor is the way to go and it may cost less than a rebuild. Either way, I need a shop to do the total install.

Anybody know of any shops in the Atlanta area or within a couple hours that can do what I need? Hopefully, a

Thanks.

I will be third in suggesting Modular Powerhouse in Marietta. Call and talk to Tim and let him know what you want.

Awesome everyone!

Thanks. Now I've got at least a few places to choose from and their websites show some pretty wild customer cars.

Thanks again.

I've got 155,000 miles on my motor right now, but it runs great (for being stock) and no leaks.

I may just go with the KB and a tune on a pure stock motor. This is the ideal setup for the KB unit. Once the stock motor gives me problems, I could upgrade/rebuild to a 306 with heads.

Decisions, decisions..........

Thanks for all the local info.
