So some lowlife piece of trash attempted to get in my car with the ole trusty screwdriver. He broke the bezel in half so now my lock sits way in my door and he gouged the lock itself so sometimes it unlocks other time it needs some patience.

Question. What are the parts name? Is there such a thing as a whole assembly or would i have to by a lock and a bezel and the little retainers etc etc.

Where can i purchase these items besides a dealership?

As long as the door metal is fine, you can just get a used door lock cylinder and take it to a locksmith and have it rekeyed to match your other locks. Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. Cost me like $5 for the lock and about $7 or so to have it rekeyed. They do have complete lock kits for all the locks from the resto and large mustang parts places, but they are nore like $80 or so.

If not mentioned, you might need to get a new U-retainer (it holds the lock in place). Might need a new plastic cup dealie for the linkage too.

I agree with the above-info.

I would just go to pick n pull and grab a lock and get it rekeyed. This way you can also get the metal piece that helps hold it in place.

if the lock cylinder is still securely in place the door lock retaining clip is good now that dont mean you wont break it removing it now the cylinder rod retainer could be broke but i believe any chain auto parts store will carry these items in the special parts help isle.what JBeezy says is a good idea too,but if it were me i would buy 2 new ones in link in above post the new lock cylinders will look good the older ones have a worn look and i think the metal on the cylinder thats exposed on outside of door is blued (like gun metal) or something similar they arent painted but i suppose they can be painted i did it before but it wears easily i never tried to reblue one next time i deal with lock cylinders i might try to blue them anyone have anymore info. on this subject.

Hmmm... behind the bezel which is what holds the lock onto the door or appears to is a gasket but appears to be made from lead. i would assume it would be attached to the bezel of the item bill posted or at least i hope
