How can it dyno at 249rwtq when it only comes rated at 240 flywheel. I know they are underrated, but they arent THAT underrated.

I said the same thing when I saw the first numbers. But supposedly dyno's don't lie. These were DynoJet numbers. I will look up my superflow numbers and put those up also, but I think it was 189 RWHP and 136 RWTQ. right around there. I will get the for sure numbers tonight or tomorrow though.

Car is done! I noticed a much better difference in torque, though not like MSP stated with a jump at 3500 rpm's. However, 3rd gear seems to be much more powerful, and wound all the way to 6 grand, unlike before only going to 5500. It seems to get to 100 much much quicker, and my low end torque doesnt seem to be effected, maybe even better. I will post with pics later on tonight when i get home. I'm satisfied \

UPDATE:

Two words, HOLY SH%T. After my last post, i took my battery off to wipe memory or what ever, and then i took it down a back road to max it out (while videoing) though i wasn't paying much attention to the car (trying to keep the car on the road) it was much faster. Then coming home as i approached 25mph in a yeild, i floored it, threw me in the seat like never before and hit 60 in no more than 2 seconds. I was drooling There is definitly an increase in power over the whole range in every gear, i'm thinking atleast 20hp gain.

So you are saying that even after running the car for a bit you noticed an increase. then when you disconnected the battery and wiping out he computer, you noticed another a big improvement afterwards?? I thought that this car had an adapitive computer, and was always learning?

Well it wasnt instant, it was also later at night, cooler air, which may have been a factor, but unpluging it seemed to have and increase. And your right, it does learn. I just did because i knew if it didnt help, it wouldnt have hurt anything, so i might as well try it...

When are you going to the dyno? Did you do a base line dyno run?

200 for the work, and if you ad the 100 for the GT muflers, and 45 for the X-Pipe, (this includes all shipping costs aswell), i have a grand total of $345 for a very good exhuast system, and man does it sound a whole lot better than a single GT muffler. (and the single GT muffler sounds good too )

I believe Summitt racing sells the Gtech, otherwise try ebay

You could also get a G-Timer (that's the one I got) It's Escort's version of the G-tech

Yeah, i saw some cheapo's on ebay for around like $20-40. Seem like knockoffs of the $200 real gtech.

Way to go Echo7!! I have been busy this week guys.. I am so sorry about the Dyno.. But I told you Echo7, there is a big difference in power.. I'm not sure how your car is running, but its definatley got to be alot different than before meaning more power..

I may try and get it(dyno) done on Saturday, if the shops are open.. But good Job Echo7!!

@ALL

I just noticed, Echo7 indeed has an AutoMatic.. So take his experience, and put a 5SPD manual tranny behind it for me...

echo7

If you had a 5spd tranny, what do you think you would feel, being able to shift at your own desired shift points?

Or do you have a 5spd already?

Escort's version isn't a cheapo. They're actually about the same price as a G-Tech is you buy them somwhere other than ebay. Mine works really good.(just as good as their radar dectors that keep saving my a$$) I noticed a pretty decent gain when I put my duals on too. It's definately got some more get up and go. I'm gonna try my G-timer tomorrow (was gonna do it before now but haven't gotten aound to it) I'll let you guys know what it's results are.

Also, I have a Light-Heavyweight fight coming up soon with MisterCMK! Look back through thread, a few pages back at the HP ratings I gave in regards who wins the fight and at what HP rating.. My question is, with a 5SPD tranny in my car, how good of a chance do I have of winning the fight based on your new experience?

Also, we have our X-PIPES in the exact same spot... Thanks for trusting in my judgement man, it means alot.. So once my car is dyno'd, you can pretty much use it as well.. But I did punch the holes in the Air-Intake, which did make more of an impact afterwards, so you will have to take that into account.. Plus the fact that I have a 5spd... The difference will be the RWHP and RWTQ increase, based on the fact that the Auto tranny uses up slightly more power to transfer to the rearend.. But our engines should be pretty close + or - {3} to {5} HP because of my Air-Intake, I think.. Dont quote me, just guessing...
