ATTENTION: 5LUG Cobra brake folks

So the time has come to mount my cobra brakes on my 90GT. I noticed that alot of you guys are running cobra brakes on ur cars. I purchased the 10th anniv front n rear caliper set when it was on special from buyfordracing. I already have MM SS front brake lines, but was wondering, which ones do I get for the rear? Just need regular rubber lines for the rears please. Also which MC and booster do you guys run and like best. I was wanting to go with the 94-95 GT/V6 for both parts, new from the autoparts of course. Those that have the setup, please post up what u guys r running and how you like your pedal feel, thanks!

And any adivce and tips would be appreciated, Ill start it next weekend, but just would like to make sure I got everything down before hand.

I used Napa replacement brake lines for the caliper hoses in the rear, and the MM braided line for the body to the axle line.

I am also running the 95 GT/V6 MC/booster and the pedal, although a little on the stiff side, is very similar to what the car is stock. Very manageable and a lot better feeling in comparison to the stock MC/Booster combo.

You want 1994-1995 rear soft lines. Napa should have them and perhaps other parts stores as well.

I went with the MM 3-peice rear SS kit. Good quality and worth every cent.

I am also running the 94-95 GT/v6 booster and MC with my Mach 1 front and rear cobra setup.

I'm running a 95 cobra Booster with a 95 GT master cylinder, i played with a few combos and the current had the best feel too me, not too touchy, but not too stiff, i also went with MM's entire SS line kit (which is really a stoptech product)

when u guys says Napa replacement hoses, which model/year car do ya mean? 94-95 hoses? these would fit the 10th anniv cobra calipers properly? Or do I remember correctly about some weatherhead adapters for the rear calipers as well??

and thanks shaolin, I just looked up those two at autzone, prices aint too bad for the two, pro will just get the reman GT MC and the cobra brake booster, roughyl at 200 for both items.

1994-1995 v6, gt or cobra rear caliper soft lines.

They come with brackets that bolt to the axle. One side has the holes present. The other side will require you to drill some

You can kinda see them in this picture. They are gold in color.

The adapter is a 1/4 inverted flare male to 3/16 inverted flare female adapter. If you go to NAPA, it's a Weatherhead 7818 adapter. You'll need one each side for stock fox hard lines UNLESS you go to russel SS and get some new rear axle hard lines....again, for a 1994-1995 mustang.

SO after looking at the prices at Autozone, its only about $15 diff between the 93Cobra and the 95Cobra booster, SO i will be getting the 93CObra booster for ease of install.

NOW what is everyone that has already done this running when it comes to the MC? I noticed there is a bore diff between the 3 common choices?
93Cobra MC(1") New: $144 Reman: $114
95Cobra MC(15/16") New $156 Reman $115
95GT MC (1 1/16") New $144 Reman $68

I took this off of the Autozone site. What will the diff in bore size do for pedal feel? I saw somewhere on corral where it makes a diff. Im not worried bout the prices, because this is one of those things where I feel I have to suck it up and get the right 1 the first time! What im looking for is the "best pedal feel when compared to the pedal feel of a car that originally came with 5lug disk brakes like my 2000 GT or a 03-04 cobra. I know its not possible to compare the systems because of the hydroboost, etc etc, BUT ya know what I mean, I hope.
