Hey I have a 65 fastback with a C4 trans and i really want to get a manual one up in there. How hard is it to swap them? How much would it cost too? Any info is great. Thanks!
they have a list that you can fill out, with different options (provide your own tranny or not, bellhousing, etc...) and it will be a good close estimate. But you can do it as cheap as you want if you are willing to scrounge junk yards and craigslist or as expensive, like if you buy from the above listed site. You will need a tranny, bellhousing, clutch pedal assembly, cable or hydraulic clutch activator, yoke, clutch, and so on...
What kind of manual? T5? T10? T56? Tremec? Toploader?
My '68 was a C4 car originally. I had to get the transmission, shifter/linkages/mount, clutch, flywheel, bellhousing, clutch pedal, z-bar, push rod, and z-bar mounts.

+1 on this. You can fill out the list on the site, and Burce is a real nice guy who can help answer your questions. And yes, there are threads a-plenty on this topic here.
On a 65, with proper equipment, and a helper, the C4 to T5 swap can be done in a day. Can be done with a few adapters and otherwise entirely stock 65 parts.
