HEllo,

When I nail the gas at 55, and the trans. has to downshift 2 gears, it seams there is a slight miss before the shift change. When I take off and floor it the trans is fine through first second etc. Just flooring it at a higher speed feels like it changes slow. Fluid is original at 100,000 miles. Would a fluid flush and change help??????

100k on the original fluid? That's like 70k too old man.

I'm having a similar problem as well. 2nd to 3rd gear shifting seems very slow/sluggish. It used to be very quick and firm. I guess this was due considering how much I've beaten on it lately.
Are you still running the stock torque converter ? Also, how many miles do you have on your setup, and is the transmission still stock internally speaking ? I'm answering your question because the original posters question seems obvious. At 100k miles on the factory fluid, his transmission is probably burned out internally speaking.
