I went to the NMRA show at National Trails this weekend and it was a blast! Saturday kind of sucked, but Sunday was awesome. My car survived the 340 mile round trip without breaking anything, I got 18mpg on the highway, I won 1st place in the best 94-98 Mustang category, ran my car a couple times, and competed in the burnout contest! I think my burnout was good enough for 2nd, but I ended up with 3rd or 4th. I'll post up pics and vids from the show tomorrow.

I did some bracket racing, but I only got two runs in. My first run looked like this,

R/T = .499
60' = 2.182
330 = 5.546
1/8 = 8.233 @ 93.45
1000 = 10.518
1/4 = 12.420 @ 119.26

Not too bad for my first time at the track in over 3 years. And my second run was even better.

R/T = .583
60' = 2.114
330 = 5.420
1/8 = 8.071 @ 91.73
1000 = 10.326
1/4 = 12.202 @ 120.04

I was hoping for 11's on street tires, but I can live with 12.20 for now. If I could have ran a couple more times I think at 12.0 was possible. All I know for sure is that's one hell of a fun ride!

I have video of both my runs and the burnout contest, but Im too tired to upload them tonight so look for them tomorrow.

I love the MPH... Just wait until you have some slicks and can launch at 5k and hook. I bet you will see 123+ and mid to low 11's easy

Good stuff Mike!

I forgot to mention that my car was also stock the last time I was at the track, and I missed the time trials so I had no idea what my car would run. I went with a 12.00 dial in on both runs.

I have my two runs uploaded, but Im still waiting on my burnout vid to upload. I'll post it up later.

what a burnout. Probably left like 5 lbs of rubber on your car.

Mike, I recall your having a long thread about some issues with the car. It's nice to see that you got it dialed-in and got to go beat the snot out of it.

Click to expand...

My first run I was like Holy S***! and held on tight! First and 2nd pull HARD! It's awesome!

JT, I still have a few issues with the car, mainly a high speed vibration, but Im tired of those issues keeping me from enjoying my car. And you know what? The car actually ran better after beating the snot out of it
