b-303 camshaft ???

ok i have a quick question. is a b-303 camshaft wortwhile on an NA car? please no trash talking about how u hate the alphabet cams and everything else u cna think of. i have a chance to pick one up for a friend for somewhere around 40 bucks. he is a good friend which is why the cheap price. but anyways back to my questions, if i pick this cam up and put it in my car will it have the idle issues associated with a lot of cams out there, and would be at all beneficial over the stock camshaft? the motor will have gt-40 heads, and a cobra intake as well.

Well, the stock cam has .444" lift on both intake and exhaust on stock (1.6) rockers. The b303 has .480" lift on both intake and exhaust with 1.6 rockers. So it's really not a whole lot more lift than stock. If you're gonna go through the trouble of doing all that work, I'd just spend another $100 (at most, find another used cam, and it'll be cheaper) to get a slightly larger cam. I'm not gonna knock the alphabet cams, but they are known for having idle issues.
