B&M Pro Ripper Shifter - $100, worth it?

Hey Everyone,

I've recently got a 89 mustang gt and have been starting to collect parts for it. I've come across an ad on craigslist which seems like a pretty good deal to me. Just wanted some thoughts.

A used B&M Ripper for $80 or a B&M Pro Ripper for $100.

I've read mixed things about the B&M shifters...some people love them and some say MGW or Steeda's are better. For the price what do you guys think?

Can your foresee any problems with buying a used shifter????

I'd try to talk him down a little. They only go for about $190 new. Offer him $75.

They're all about the same. Its billet, it has adjustable shift stops, it has positive retention springs to help you avoid missing 3rd gear. In any case, it’ll be light years ahead of stock.

buddy of mine had the standard ripper in his 00 gt and another has it in his 96 cobra... its a toss up between the pro50 and that one for which i like more

I have the Ripper in mine and I love it. I kept the same shifter in two cars and three transmissions now. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
