Hey guys greetings new member here with a question
so I recently bought a 1989 hatchback with 302 h.o. and t5 trans came wth a/c and p/s
Recently the serpentine belt shredded itself so I replaced the belt with a gates 84.5" and noticed the back of the a/c compressor is hitting the valve cover

But has anyone encouneed this problem with there 302? The compressor is on top on the driver side, like Ive seen in most pictures. The valve covers look stock, the compressor looks stock also.
Any help from a veteran foxbody member would be greatly appreciated!
