So recently I have been shopping for a 5.0 and I haven't owned one in about 5-6 years. I found a 1990 lx 5.0 5 speed with 130,000 miles for $5500 in excellent condition, very clean, and completely stock. Now I have a little bit more money I do want to pick it up. Basically I just don't want to get screwed over because a couple of 5.0s before this one was a lemon and I lost a bit of cash. The car body is immaculate and mechanically sounds great. It looks well kept. Is there anything I should look for in particular to make sure this car is worth the money? Thanks alot in advance.

Make sure the engine has good oil pressure.
And as long as the body is straight and the interior is in good condition, the rest of the stuff is easy to fix.

I wouldn'y pay 5500 unless it was really straight and clean. with 130,000 miles, it had better be pretty nice. If it is totally stock and untampered with...I think that is a good thing.

It all depends on his geographic. IF you compare the NY area to remote Kansas, you'll find around a 2G gap in prices.

I would agree with that, and I certainly found that discrepancy when I bought my 97GT. A guy out west I knew had the same car for about 2k less as you said. But, for a 90 with over 100k, I still think 5500 is high regardless of the location.
