At the age our computers are I send them in to them just for that reason, they check out and repair with updated stuff, they just did one for me on a f 150 and they even emailed back and forth with me when I expressed that the truck was still giving me problems, they wanted me to send the computer back to them to make sure it was ok but the truck has wiring issues, that's another story, my point is it's worth the money to be sure.
