Hey guys,
I just got this car and still trying to iron everything out. My problem is the car pops through the exhaust when I get off the throttle on shifts. It doesn't do it all the time and usually only when I wind it to mid or high rpms. I'm still finding things on the car, but here's what I have so far...

'88 mustang gt
rebuilt 5.0, trick flow intake, bbk adj. fuel regulator, mac shorties, h pipe w/ cats, mac cat back 2 1/2

Thanks

Is there an aftermarket ignition on it?

Sometimes they will cause what you are talking about.

Also there could be a little slack in your timing chain that might cause that.

It just pops a little right? Not a big backfire out the tail pipes?
