Ok car falls into a high idle hanging rpm sometimes..especially right after cold start up rpms will fall to 900 but the second I touch the gas they start to rise to 1500 and hang, also while driving rpms will not drop imedialtely after clutch pressed to shift, and sometimes spikes 100-200 rpm before dropping to about 1500rpm. Often after warm car will operate perfectly ( has new IAC and TPS, and tps is set to.95) with a slight hang every so often. Pulled codes and found the following:
code 94
code 44
code 34
hoping one of you gurus can help me out. I have already cleaned out the TB and set the Idle as per Corral instructions and cleaned EGR valve which was a mess.

Hey guys I had similar issues before and I used these articles to adjust my idel and tps. It worked for me so maybe look it over and see what you think.
I would remove The IAC and clean it really good then perform the idel adjust and set the tps. Make sure to reset the puter by disconeting the neg cable for 15 mins or so. Good luck.

94 AIR system inoperative - Air Injection <<<<<----- Smog code

44 AIR system inoperative - Air Injection <<<<<----- Smog code

34 EVP - (R) EGR did not respond properly during test - EVP

do you have smog stuff off the car? cats gone and pump gone etc?

I have not seen smog codes cause idel issues. I have all the smog crap off my car except for the egr valve. I have no idel issues.

I have hollowed out the smog pump and left all lines intact plugging the line left to go to cats after the three way valve, I have reset the tps and the idle screw and the whole game again and again with same result...car runs fine untill it gets cold and I have to restart it..idle comes down nice then..boom touch the gas and high idle and hangin rpms again..then warms up i screw with it (turn off restart, off restart)and boom good idle and minor rpm hang between shifts...now all my codes 94,44,34 seem to involve the smog and EGR so I ask can the egr valve or sensor screw with my cars behavior that much??..note i got code 34 with koeo and koer

Code 34 EGR voltage above closed limit - Failed sensor, carbon between EGR pintle valve and seat holding the valve off its seat. Remove the EGR valve and clean it with carbon remover. Prior to re-installing see if you can blow air through the flange side of the EGR by mouth. If it leaks, there is carbon stuck on the pintle valve seat, replace the EGR valve ($85-$95).

This will affect idle quality by diluting the intake air charge.

Also, what TPS voltage are you using? (and what year is your car?) I fixed a similar issue on my 88 SD car by ensuring that the TPS voltage is under .96 or so--setting it to .98 or higher will CAUSE a high/hanging idle. I recall that having the TPS voltage too high (.975 or so?) triggers an acceleration tip in point which causes the computer to enrich the mixture. Good luck.

Thanks guys tps has been set at .93 so I don't see that as an issue, I did clean the EGR but still get the code..sensor was really bad so I can definately see problem existing with the valve closing, just problem understanding why when idle and tps set computer unpluged for 20+ minutes car runs perfect UNTILL next day when cold start is done then idle fall to 900 as needed then as soon as gas is touched the idle heads toward the sky again and hangs during shifts again untill warmed and restarted and then runs fine again untill next cold start. I am installing new EGR valve, selendoid, and selenoid located on passenger shock tower for EGR hope this helps
