well i got the edelbrock on, and its missing realy bad, it idles fine, but as soon as i rev it, it misses, ive changed the spark plug wires, cheaked for vac leaks, adjusted the fuel pressue, and nothing makes a difference!, the only thing i have not changed are the spark plugs, im thinking maybe some coolant got on them, the car was apart for a week and a half, so if there was coolant on the plugs was sitting on them for a while

any ideas?

i feel like i always answer these questions, not ask them!!

Could it be that the edle brock might be to much for your car! Get some live readings. Or it could be the plugs but, the car should burn off the coolant after a while, unless its slowly dripping in you combustion chamber. Whens the last time you changed your plugs?

I'm doubting it's too much for the car. I'd venture to say the plugs got some coolant on them

the motor only has 3200 miles on it, the plugs probably have 700-1000, im not loosing any coolant, and im pretty sure its not a vacuum leak,

ive heard that when coolant gets on the electrode that it does somthing and messes up the plug

well i just pulled out the plugs,(yes its 1:45am but this is annoying the heck out of me)

the 2 front ones closest to the coolant ports look like they wernt firing to good, the were dry with NO coolant on them, but they we black and smelled like gas, i hope this fixes the problem...............

its not the plugs/wires/coilpacks, crank sensor, cam sensor....

ive been hooking up a timing light, and when i rev it the spark will skip, get very erritic it, and jump all over the place, and it dumping raw fuel out the exhaust, so i know i have a bad missfire, but i cant figure it out

Yea me too, I have always wanted to know what the gains for that intake was.
Yea, if there is fuel coming out of your exhaust then its not burning all of the fuel, if its not burning all of the fuel then there is not enough spark or in retrospect your octane may be too low. Hmmm. I would change the sparkplugs just to rule them out and put some dielectric grease on them too. Do you have a distrubutor? Make sure its sparking to all of the wires, use your volt meter for some ohm testing! I'm really gonna think about this one. You might need a new tune for that intake. When I say a new tune, maybe a higher octane rating tune. You seem like you have a HELLAOVA air intake system, maybe its time for new tune. Are ya gonna get dynoed?

it going to get retuned when i get a JLT RAI, and lighting 90mm MAF, i going to try the MAF now, the car is tuned on 93 and i runnng nothing but 93 in the car

betwen today and yesterday, i have changed the plugs/wires/coilpacks/cam sensor/crank sensor

on a better note, it looks sick on the car, it makes it look like a realy motor

well after a ton of searching and taking the plugs/injectors out, i found that i had 2 injector the must have been dribbling the fuel, not spraying, a friend of mine had a few 24lb'ers sitting around so i threw them in and it cleared it up 90%. my injectors are the old style with the fuel needle, so others might be on there way out, im buying a set of 30lb injectors, 90mm MAF, JLT intake and off to the dyno for a retune and new numbers!

BTW down low still feels pretty good, but it opens up around 4k starts pulling HARD!, and it still breaking up a little, and untuned! it made the car louder too

That does look good! Good luck with getting it all sorted out!

Side note, I saw my first carbed 4.6 yesterday at the Buick vs. Ford shootout in Noble, Oklahoma. He also had the Victor Jr intake. Looked very clean without all the wiring mess normally associated with the 4.6's. Wish I would have gotten a picture of the motor. He said he lost a little throttle response, but he didn't think it really hurt the low end power. The car ran hard as hell. I think he said it was running 10.80's on a 75 shot. Here's a pic of it launching...

haha they will be comming soon the 30lb injecotors are on the way, i hoping that helps clear up some of the breaking up..

i would say that the car is running as strong as it was before, even with it breaking up and untuned!
