I get a very slight wiggle left to right on my steering wheel when I brake. Warped rotors? Hoping it is not a bent rim. Does not have a bent rim that I can feel otherwise.
I'm the other way. I prefer sending my customer out the door with machined OEM rotors rather than aftermarket new. New OEM is best, but when cost is a concern, I'll take machined OEM all damned day over the ChineseScrew Turning Rotors. I charge you $40 per rotor to turn them. Buy New Rotors!!!
Wagner........... good stuff ^For my shop alone. This is why I prefer new rotors. We use Wagner products.
I hate the old slow single speed lathes. Hunter 10 speed or a ProCut on-car or nothing. Can't make money cutting rotors (at the technician level, anyway) with a machine that slow. For my shop alone. This is why I prefer new rotors. We use Wagner products.
@74stang2togo If I had a ProCut at this shop I would be turning these all day long and on the car to boot I think my mechanic would try and kiss me. BUT I have this lathe that is older than I am. This thing will take 30 minutes a rotor and is a demon to find parts for.
