Stock 95 GT 5.0L
Performer RPM intake
70mm throttle body
STOCK MAF!!!
STOCK tune
24lb injectors
E303 cam
STOCK E7 heads
STOCK headers
3:08 gear, T5

Won't the cam not work too well on the 95 computer, or is that just a myth? Also isn't the RPM overkill for stock heads and a daily driver? 24lb injectors is useless on this setup, imo... My cousin thinks he will have close to 400hp with this... I am speechless...

I suggested (due to the stock heads) :
-Performer intake
-65mm throttle body (or is 70mm okay, not sure)
-76mm MAF calibrated for 19# injectors (might be too big, not sure?)
-1.7 rockers instead of the E303 cam or a cam with less durration.
That should bring things up to around 260HP at the flywheel?

how are you running 24's with a stock maf and tune????? you need one or the other to match those injectors

the intake is overkill for stock heads but if he plans on heads which i'm sure he'll want for those numbers it will be ok.

That is a VERY poorly matched combo. The intake has too large and short of runners to be used with a stock headed car. The stock valve springs will float long before that intake starts to shine, the normal performer is a much better choice here for the intake as you suggested. MANY people have had idles issues with the '94-'95 EEC's with the E303, I'd stay far away from it as well. That combo won't make anywhere near 400hp.

Your suggestions are dead on for what would be the best matched combo for running the stock heads and it should be good for 13's at 100+mph, and around 240rwhp. It'll be a strong runner, and it shouldn't give him too many EEC issues either. Many guys have made around 240ish rwhp with similar combos. I'd probably scrap the MAF idea all together, and I especially stay away from the C&L.

Ok, just got done laughing about the 400HP goal. Like mentioned, can't run a stock Maf with 24's unless it was calibrated for them. At that point you buy a bigger Maf anyway. Stock exhaust with 3:08's? C'mon, gears should come way before engine mods in my book. Have him put int 3:73's as the minimum and 4:10's if he want to really move. Skip the cam, do it later when the heads are changed. The Performer is a better intake then the RPM at this point. The stuff you mentioned is way better then what he wants to do. Except I'd pass on the C&L meter and go with a Pro-M. The 70MM is fine. It will shine later with better parts.

Thanks guys, I thought I was going retarded or something for a little while.. I can't get him to change is mind about this, it's too bad because his car is real nice - it just needs a better owner.

Agreed. I got rid of my upper Typhoon intake (RPM clone) and got a Performer upper and I did notice a nice pick up down low, runner length and size are important to match up right for what you want out of your combo.
