Just tout the motor in my 92 fox panned on starting it i got it to crank with no weird noises(never started since spark issue) while figureing out spark issue an injector was stuck open(connectors were all unplugged) and dumped a bunch of fuel into the motor i cranked it and it made a really loud bang. Dumped a bunch of fuel out of the driver side header. Then after cleaning all the injectors making sure they sealed up i cranked it over and it made a nasty grinding noise. I took valved covers off and spark plugs out motor turn over fine as usual no bent valves or push rods. New noise it coming from passenger side and like by the fire wall. Im reletivly sure something is wrong with the starter like a broken or bent tooth. Its super ear piercing im person. Ill link a yt vid of it running(poorly) and some vid of it cranking

I think you need a full keyboard to start with. Describe your entire combination from the ground up.

Regardless, pull the starter and get a good look at it and at the flywheel. If the engine kicked [back] then yeah, something is probably wrecked down there.

If your headers were full of fuel than no doubt oil is thinned out. I had the fuel dumping issue with my bad ecu. Oil was way to thin the do its job. Better safe than sorry man.

You gonna bet your engine on it???
I know oil is pricey but bearings and rings and associated bits and pieces.....well it's your junk man.

Ive built enough motors and blown up enough a tiny bit of fuel thats in oil will not do anything from just cranking over the motor(not running it) if i were running it,it would be a diffrent story but for now im gonna work out the fuel and starter and then change the oil no point it wasting money incase similar happens the oil hasnt thinned down to nothing theres still enought lubricant to turn it over by hand or with the starter
