I am in the process of converting my 67 to manual steering and figured while I was at it I would put in the baer bumpsteer kit. Well, I was just about to bolt it up and noticed that when the car is jacked up, the piece that goes into the spindle is at the wrong angle to fi with no more room to move. I can get it to about the bottom of the threads but that is it. Do I have to put it on the ground to get them in or am I missing something? I have the total length set at what the tie rods were at on the power steering set up. Thanks in advance for the help

um

i think you need to put the wheel down or support the lca w/ a jack, or you may need different inner tie rods, i went thru this and had to junkyard hunt.

You can cut some of the rod threads off or some of the sleeve, whichever works in your advantage.
