I'm getting my Baer Track front brake kit from UPS tomorrow and I've got 5/16" spacers already and a very slight, occasional rub on from the wheel on my Unique Performance UCA.
With that background, here's are the questions:
-With the supplied brake studs (see attached photo) do they give you any more length than stock? I need a little more length for engagement.
-Without being SUPER conservative, what do you think of the strength of the brake studs in relation to going with a bigger spacer? I will get 1/8" more clearance and that might solve my problem but I'm willing to go with ARP studs if anyone thinks that the Baer studs pictured wouldn't hold up . . .
I'm pretty excited - brakes coming tomorrow and manual pedals for my 5-speed conversion. Winter projects rollin' along . . .
