I'm just trying to figure out roughly how much hp and torque I'm at right now. I'd go to a dyno, but I want to wait until my engine is finished. I'm hoping that somebody on here has a similar setup that I can compare to.
The motor is a '92 5.0HO MAF, which supposedly would be making 225hp stock.
I have disabled the EGR, and removed the air pump.
My exhaust is comprised of the stock shorty headers, a Hedman cat-less H-pipe, 2.25" exhaust pipe (including tailpipes), and some very low-restriction mufflers.
I'm running a cold air intake with a K&N filter.
I have 10.1:1 compression thanks to my new TRW Forged Pistons, and I'm at 12 degrees of timing on 93 octane.
I've ground out the EGR bumps in my stock heads.
I'm currently using the FMS 1.6 Roller Rockers, and the E303 Camshaft
I'm figuring somewhere around 300hp/330ftlbs, but I don't know if this is maybe overestimating too much. Any ideas guys? I know you're the 5.0 experts around here.
Oh by the way, future mods include 24# injectors, a GT-40 (or similar) intake, and AFR165 heads. I hope the combination of all that will get me to 300 rwhp.
