Bassani Exhaust Question

I got my Bassani BX50933 in the mail today and got a couple questions. I was under the impression that the tube from the air pump to the mid pipe goes before the converters. am I mistaken? and all pics I see for this product has huge converter casings. Not these small ones. For any one that has this x pipe, is this correct? this is only part of the exhaust. I have the pipe that connect this to the headers..not pictured

There is nothing wrong with your x pipe thats normal. The smog pump puts air into the exhast to help the gases conitnue to burn a lil after the cat. It helps cut down your emissions. Like your unburned hydrocarbons and helps bring down nox. Those small casings as you put it are more efficient than others out on the market.
