How much more power do you guys think that Bassani headers would make, if any, over BBK shortie headers? Ive decided to go with one of these companies but i need a little more info on them. Is the power of Bassani worth the cost or can i pretty much make the same power off BBK, or any other headers that are of the same quality of BBK?

I saw a header comparison someplace before and the BBK shorties made as much power as any of the other SHORTIES out there. Great product for the price and WILL BE my next mod. I wish I still had the article. But my brother had their ceramic ones on his 89 LX and they still look new after 4 or 5 years. Bassani's are great too and will prolly make pretty the same power. Pretty much paying for the name.

Honestly, I would never be able to justify paying so much for shorties like Bassani or JBA. Longtubes, sure but shorties, never. My BBK shorties do their job nicely for minimal cost. They don't look very nice anymore, due to discoloration. That could be prevented with the optional ceramic coating, though.

Only other drawback that I can see is that the dipstick has to be routed differently. Makes it kind of hard to get in and out and seems to throw the reading off a little. This may be an issue with any of the shorty headers.

I bought the Lokar dipstick/dipstick tube and I dont like it. Freaking dipstick never goes in without screwing around with it. Also, dont plan on cheking the oil until the car cools down for quite a while...
