Bassani?

Im looking forward on buying the bassani BX midpipe, i dont think its bad, but then again, ive never seen it, i live in cali and i dont think we have really bad rusting problems here, so i dont think it would be bad, also, what are baffles??

It is not "bad" per say it is just made from inferior materials. I am one of the people who really does not like alumized. set a piece of alumized pipe and stainless pipe out in the rain for a coulple weeks. look at the differnce. that being said I don't live in cali or arizona. it rains a ton in oregon where I live.

I do think youshould run the same material front to back IMO. I see a lot of mixed and matched matierals. bassani stainless x with flowmaster cat. seems wierd to spend the extra coin in one place but not the other.

I will say I am not a huge fan of the bassani midepipe by design. as it is NOT a true X pipe. anyone buying an alumized x-pipe should run the dr. gas IMO as it has been show over and over again to outpreform all comers and sound it more in the muffers than the midepipe. I did not run it as I went stainless. I was between magnaflow and vrs. VRS was the better deal and in hindsight the thing I did not like (two piece design) made it way easier to install by myself.

all this being said though. a full bassani bx system is going to sound bad ass. It is just eventally going to rust out.

One thing you will never hear a complaint about is the sound of the bassani kit it is only the price. So if the money does not bother you it will make you smile.

Agreed.

I think I bought the best of both worlds. I bought the Magnaflow "Magnapacks" which sound great. And I bought the Bassani catted X which I'm happy with and and it amplifies the "Magnapack" sound very well. Both Stainless Steel systems which is nice.

I think bassani sounds great. someone on hear had an issue with trying to run 315's outback and it hitting the cat back.

I think it was deadlurker you might be able to search that out.

I could not justify the bassani cost but I love the sound. I am also not sure if the other catbacks have fitmet issues. I only have 285's on 10's outback no 10.5 and 315's like he did.

yep....bassani does sound bad ass but i had some quality issues with their product. my cats went out on me, my tailpipes rubbed against my 315 drags and I had some miscommunications with their customer service.

Would I buy bassani again...that is a tough question...i love the sound but i wonder if it's worth the hassle.

btw here is a vid of my car on the dyno.

It Also Rubs my 315's out back LOL and hits the gas tank I Need to cut off a portion of it! lol and one of the Clips broke off while I was installing it But WTF! I love the exhaust so much I wouldn't buy another!lol

Bassani

I have Bassani O/R X pipe, it sounds sick, and I havn't had any problems with rust, I had a BBK x pipe w/cats that I sold and it wasn't even close to the bassani, if you drive your stang in the winter where it snows, you are going to salt blast your exhaust, which if you don't get it off will eat right through and cause rust,

I have some soundclips if anyone is interested
