Bassani's Catted X Pipe

I have Bassanis catted x on my 98 .. i saw earlier about the cats bolting right off and an extension from bassani being bolted into its place. Is this true and if so where can i find it. looked at the site and didn't find anything ... any help.. thanks

it depends on which x pipe you have.
if you have the old school 1 piece x pipe then nope.
if you have the 3 piece version then you can buy the offroad pieces i think bassani quoted me 149 when i asked when i had it on my 00gt.
if its the 5 piece, you can get the offroad pieces, but dont know the price. I went with the 03-04 cobra xpipe that came with them.

Just give them a call, they have always been helpful and nice when ive called.

Part number 46033, just installed mine last weekend. That's the five piece design. Bassani says this part number only fits Cobras...not true. I talked to Steve at Houston Performance and this is the way to go. Not sure about your 98 though. This pipe will also work with their mid-length headers if you decide to go that route later.

Thanks i baught mine from houston performance about 2 3 months ago .. not sure if its a 3 or 5 peice .. ill look when i get home.. did you notice any difference in the low end torque and high end horses?? with losing the back pressure... thanks for both yalls help.
