Battery light on all the time, '90 7 Up w/ pa performance alt.

The battery light is on 99% of the time. It;s been this way for years and I'd like to fix it- any clues as to what the cause is?
BTW, the car charges OK.
It's a 7 Up 1990 5.0. It has the pa performance 130 amp alt. with their heavy duty wire kit.

Make a trip to AutoZone or AdvanceAuto Parts and have them check out the charging system. They will do it for free with everything installed in the car.
