Baught a chip

I got a chip from am with the following tunes thats on its way home
87 economy
87 performance
93 performance
100+ performance

I hope it arives today or tomorrow i want to be ready for the track on friday. thats when i plan on taking her out again. what kind of gains do you guys think ill get with this chip running 93 tune i was also thinking about 110 race fuel. Should i be worried about anything happening to my stang with that kinda fuel?

Be cautious - my first 93 performance tune from AM caused predetonation on my car. I had them redo the tune and the motor still detonated! The easiest way to make detonation show up is by putting it under a load, like going uphill in 5th gear.

I wish you better luck than I had. Be safe and carry the tuner in the car with you, should you need to pull off the road and return to stock or modify settings.

what does detonation sound like? its the chip that has a switch to click between the 4 so if i get detonation i can just click it over to the original tune. if i ran 13.5 in the 1/4 mile without a tune what do you guys think i could potentially run with the tune?

Its a popping sound, like marbles in a coffee can (that's the best way I've heard it described). Drive your car with the radio off and windows closed for a while before you upload the tune to get a good idea of what it sounds like normally. After you upload, listen for any anomalies.

had to bring the computer with me to work but i installed the chip after much carfule scrapping and cleaning of the contacts. ill be cruising and testing tonight when i get home from work.
