BBK Aluminum U/D Pullies

I really dont mean to piss on your parade, but I've only heard bad stuff about them. They're less superior to Steeda's pullys, and the BBKs are piggyback style, of cheap design and quality. Now that's just what i've HEARD from about 18 different, not related, people. I ordered Steedas, and they're still on the way, so I cant tell you what I think personally yet. For me, BBK's stuff has always been marginally just OK. Nothing that blew me away, and nothing that was 'crap' either. Just OK. Maybe a bit pricey, though. But that's just my opinion.

:OT: by the way, How are those 10.5 inch wide wheels in the rears? what size tire are you running on them??? I'm REALLY seriously thinking of putting 10.5s in the back and either 8.5s or 9s in the front with drag radials all around, all chromed bullitts. it's some high dollar style and performance, so I want to know what do you think of them.

They cost me about 800 shipped, and they are worth 2000 to me :hail2: ... Get compliments on them at least once a week still and ive had them for like 6 months! I have 315x35x17 Nitto DR's on the rear and 275x40x17 cheapo tires on the front. You wont need DR's on the front though, only the rear tires matter. Check out www.wheelreplicas.com, they have fast shipping and great support :nice:

Oh an by the way, if your gonna get any kind of mustang wheel (bullits, cobras, etc) get the 10.5's. makes your car look insanely mean from the back and front, the wide wheels will get traction for days, and they are the only wheels that are available that wide, very unique! P.S. With my 315 wide DR's i spin maybe one time and then grab hard when i completely dump the clutch at 4500rpms :owned: (insert 1.8 60ft times here!)

When you are putting the fan back in just make sure you remember to plug it back in. I forgot and my car overheated like hell. I was like those crappy pulleys are making my car overheat. Then I lifted the hood and saw I just didn't plug teh damn thing back in. :bang:

hmm why in the hell would you need to remove your fan for a pulley install?

The only true complaint about the BBK pulleys is that they are a piggyback style pulley. I have them, and they are a good quality pulley.

I didn't really feel much of a difference on the bottom end with the pulley install, but the car did seem to pull a little more on top end. However, the SOTP meter isn't very accurate. A before and after dyno run is the only way to truely know what it got you.

I cant afford the before and after unfortunately but i know im at 249-255 range to the wheels right now cuz ive seen several people with just magnaflow x w/ cats and catback putting down anywhere from 248-252 and i have the O/R x and the catback so mine should have a couple extra.. with that at a starting point im gonna get it dynoed after pulleys/MAF and 30lb injectors/and Mac LT's..be interesting to see how much those three add up to, hoping for 270 to the wheels :nice:
