Sometimes on idle, my CAI (fender mount) is knocking up against my shock tower. I can hear it from inside the car. The pipe bend at the throttle body is pretty close to the tower, so much I can't put my finger between them. I have had it installed about a month, did I do something wrong?

It's not uncommon for the BBK pipe from the throttle body to mass air sensor to require @ 3/4" to be cut off. Or, try shoving it closer to the throttle body inside the rubber coupling, or even check your motor mounts, especially since the engine torques from right to left.....

I trimmed about 1/8 to 1/4 off the pipe. I can now put my pinky finger between the pipe and the shock tower. Maybe that will help. Thanks everyone !

Yeah my MAC did the same thing and i noticed that it basically was just a little loose/sloppily installed. The BBK might be a bit different, but for mine i just had to shove it as close to the TB as possible and clamp it there tight. It's kindof a scary sound if you hear that thing knocking before you know what it is lol...

Yea I know what you mean, I coulda swore I had a serious motor issue when mine knocked, a little nervice at first. I fixed it by just playing around with, the rubber couplers until it worked. I also took out a TB spacer some dummy had added.

I had to tweak the crap out of mine. Also I "borrowed" some self adhesive soft rubber/ foam from work and attached just enough to prevent any knocking I would hear.
