I'm in the process of installing my BBK headers and I've hit a snag. The EGR tube that was used on the original headers is TOO LONG now.
How do you bend/cut the tube?
OR
Can I cap each end off and run fine until I find a way to do it?
If I can cap it.. what size are the threads?
THanks.

my pops and i made our own with copper tubing. i used fox body headers and got a bung welded in (haha...sounds funny :) ) and we make our own egr tube with flares and all. my car is the master jimmy rigged car ahaha

The EGR tube on my car fit perfectly  No cutting or anything. Also, I have my EGR removed now and I dont have any issues with it. Just plug the hole on your intake, and hold the plunger on the EGR down 1/2 way and everything will be just fine! Take off one of the nuts on the EGR tube, stick a penny in it, and tighten it down on the header. I'll only cost you $.01 instead of the $1.55 if you cant spare that much.

My BBKs' came with the right tube. If you need to order one get it from a BBK dealer not Ford. The BBKs' also came with some high temp black hose. I suppose they were intended to be used on the EGR if the metal tube wasn't the correct size.

Mine was two inches too tall with the new headers. Well I guess I'll just get the pipe caps for now. I don't have a way to compress or heat up the hose without being at work. I'll cap it off and try to make it fit at work this week. I still have to get the driver side header on so I've got some time.
Also these used headers had ARP header bolts with them.. what size are they? I need to find a nut to put on one so I can put my dipstick back in place.. blah..
