I know the MAC LT's will slide around a C4 but will the BBKs? Ive already got a BBK short H-pipe and have heard that mixing the two brands causes problems. So... is anyone running a large or small bell C4 and BBK long tubes on a baby w motor?
nitrousED, How much room do you have around the bell housing. Im useing a large bell so thats where the problem would be. Ive got a small bell housing too and there realy isnt a big difference in the diameter.
Just thought Id get back with my results. it seams there is alot of misinformation on this board. im running a 306 with edelbrock heads, solid motor mounts and a tubular K member. I took a chance a bought the BBK 1 5/8" long tubes. I installed them last night and they fit perfect around my large belled C4.
sometimes certain heads may cause the misfit with the tranny. Certain heads do not work with certain headers. I know my old Windsor Jr's did not work with mac longtubes or bbk longtubes and I had a T-5. So maybe certain guys with a C4 tried the BBK longtubes but because of the angle of the exhaust side of the head they run, their BBK headers didn't clear the C4. Just an idea.
