Hello everyone I have a 94 Mustang GT with a BBK SSI intake manifold and I believe the crossover tube on the fuel rails that came with the intake is starting to hiss and leak,

My question is how exactly do you replace it it seems to be held into the fuel rails it self which is kinda fishy if you ask me as a design but how do you remove it and reinstall it, I've looked on BBKs website and I'm not getting much results, there's absolutely no videos on it and I've heard it's discontinued as well

I want to switch to a trickflow soon but I just want this intake to work on this beach trip coming on the 30th of May any help would be appreciated

Post up images of exactly what you're talking about.

You [do] know that, that intake is a Red Headed Step-Child, correct? What I mean is: I've been doing this a pretty long time and everybody that shown up with that intake has abandoned it including BBK.

Depending on what you got going there, it may be worth looking into a different intake.

Sad to say but a quick Google search will pull up a lot of threads on this very issue. Some have fixed it. Sad as it was a cool looking I take.

I had to have the latest and greatest intake manifold from BBK. The SSI looked like nothing I’d seen before. It was unique and tests had shown it to outflow a ported cobra intake. It barely lost to the Edelbrock at high RPM but it created more low end. Late one summer (2006) there was a mustang show in Birmingham, Alabama at Barber Motor Speedway. I walked into the CJ Pony Parts...

It looks to me like that intake is going to need to come off and be repaired at a machine shop.

In the image, it looks like a break in the cast.

ok well I have a different question this 94 I have has a e303,GT40 heads,
Would a stock foxbody intake manifold work for my setup just to drive I have a completely stock non Cali 88 fox

I just don't want to send this BBK to a machine shop when I'm just trying to fix the crossover tube and especially if I'm switching intakes soon since this is being a PITA for a entire plenum

The result of the swap will be:

More responsiveness below 4000 RPM (where you do the majority of street driving) so, more torque and more HP.

Less responsiveness above 4000 RPM (about a 20 HP difference but only at the peak).

The ultimate intake for your rig would be a GT-40 Tubular or Cobra.

If you're going to swap in a GT intake, make sure it is 87+.

So just to clarify my 1988 gt will.work on that setup I don't care about power right now I just need this to run and not hiss or leak fuel

Will stock 88 fuel rails work as well I don't mean to sound like a idiot but I bought the car like this and just kinda clueless with this BBK Intake compared to others

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're going to need the stock fuel rails.

You can't use the BBK rails on an OEM intake or vice-versa. The injectors are at different angles.

Yes. You need the upper and lower and as you mentioned: the fuel rails and regulator etc...

I'm not sure about the regulator.

I think you're going to need an elbow for the intake too unless you've already converted all that stuff to Fox.

I want to say the Fox regulator is a three bolt and the 94/95 is a two bolt.
