Bbk X-pipe Fitment Issues

I bought BBK Lontubes and a catted X. Started to put the longtubes in....went in perfectly, no problems at all. Start to attach the X pipe and realize that the X is about 1 1/2 in. off. I mean its my fault I didnt check before but how can BBK sell stuff that is so far off?!?! :bang:

When I say its 1 1/2 off i mean that the two front pipes on the X that are supposed to connect to the end of the longtubes arent wide enough to get a connetion at all. I can put one on but the other one is off.

Am i missing something? I dont know what im going to do. Should I call Brothers Performance the company I ordered it from, or should I call BBk to have them send me another one that might work. I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen with another peice.

I brought it into my work at the dealership I work at and the techs I talked to said I need a rosebud connection for the torch we have to get enough heat on it in order to bend it out a little. But they said that there is a chance I could damage my cat, and after that forget about getting another one due to the part being damaged. Very frustrating. :bang:

Sorry this is so long.... Just asking for your opinions. Thank You.

James

I have heard people in the same boat about the BBKs. Well all of the cheaper priced exhaust systems really. You get what you pay for. It isn't hard to resolve, and for the price it is a good product. If you take it to an exhaust shop, they probably won't even have to heat them.

If you poll 100 people half are going to say a product is good and the other half bad, no matter the brand. I think the fitment problems are due to the fact that cars in our price range are not built to exact specifications like an exotic import would be. Therefore we must bend, heat, and fabricate to make things work.

so they both suck? any other companies out there that has no problems.....i have had personal experience with BBK and their customer service sucks, i won't go more into it now but they said tuff luck, go to hell. have not had problems with mac on my car or four of my friends cars.....anyway back to what i said any other companies with a better reputation?
