I am thinking about buying a BBK Off Road X Pipe......So does anybody out there have one or has heard......If so did it sound good or should i go with somthing different.........I was going to get a Pro-chamber but where i live the are quite a few Prochambers and H Pipes But not many X Pipes......And i am still undecided about what kind of cat back.....So what should i do?

IMO <<< Disclaimer 1st: H-pipe sounds good with chambered mufflers and X-pipe sounds good with straight-through mufflers.

Remember: H-pipe = Metallica and X-pipe = Hip Hop

I had a prochamber w/ 2chamber flows and liked it, when I got my bbk headers I swapped the prochamber out fot the bbk o/r x-pipe, I would have liked to have heard the headers with the prochamber as I think it would have been deeper but I like the current results

The BBK X-pipe sounds like any other X-pipe. The only differences in sound are going to be with either an H-pipe which sound more muscley or a Pro-Chamber....which kind of falls in between the two.

Besides....the mufflers are going to be what dictates the level of sound you hear, not the mid-pipe.

I think the BBK does sound different than other X pipes. My buddy has one with flows and it is rasp city. On the other hand, a upr X pipe or Dr Gas doesn't have this characteristic with flows.

bbk sounds like crap and so is the quality,I had one on mine and replaced it with a pro-chamber.The bbk x-pipe is raspy and you might have to get some parts re-welded cause the welds suck and can leak in some spots. If you still want one that bad I can send you mine. Its your for $20 and shipping.

So are you satisfied with your pro-chamber......I have never heard of any complaints about them.......does anybody own or heard a Mac X pipe? If so what did it sound like.....

I've had my bbk for about a yr with no problems with quality so far, I do agree that it is raspy but with the headers and flowmaster it sounds pretty good, over all though I wish I had kept my prochamber, I think it would have been a lot deeper. if I was to do it all over again I would like to see what bassani has to offer but u cant go wrong with a prochamber and the price is decent

my bbk catted x with a slp catback is awesome...ive had no problems with it and the quality is excellent...no rust or anything...theres no rasp and sounds like the prochamber and slp combo just a little quieter...u guys have had bad luck with bbk im sorry to hear you guys have had trouble with them

yea, i'm really happy with ProChamber. Too bad i can't keep them as i have BBK LT going on, and ProChamber i have won't work...:notnice: but i'm happy about LT going on tho:nice:

I had a BBK O/R X on my car with the 2 chamber Flows welded into the stock catback. it was the mkost horrible, horrendous, and ****ty crap ass rasp sound I've ever heard. It litterally sounded like the insides of the Flows were coming apart (they weren't). I have an O/R Pro Chamber on now and the sound and tone is a millions times better.

Like was stated before.

X- pipe with straight through muffs

H-pipe with chambered muffs

if you want an xpipe and chambered mufflers, stick w/ Dr. Gas, VRS, UPR, Mustangtuning, or Magnaflow.

BBK and Bassani will give you rasp city with chambered mufflers.

i have no rasp w/ my mustangtuning o/r xpipe and 40 series flows. its evil sounding. i always get compliments and fellow stangers are always asking me what combo it is :)

prochamber and flows sounds bad ass as well.

what mufflers are you planning on running on your car?

oh...and dont get a MAC xpipe :nonono: stick to the prochamber if u go MAC.

I had a Bassani with my Mac system and there was no rasp....and they're essentially the same as the Flows. Sounded pretty damn good actually….although kinda loud for cruising….but that’s the nature of chambered mufflers.
