bearing retainer

I installed a new steel bearing retainer on my t-5-z tranny a few weeks ago. I used "gms" sealer around the flange for it. I bought it from summit racing so there was a new seal installed already. now it is leaking. what the hell? its not hard to drop the tranny just a pain in the a$$. My question is what is the torque spec for the bearing retainer bolts? thanks

Did you put sealer on the threads of the retainers bolts?
If not there's your leak!

I'm curious why you had to replace it -- the steel ones are supposed to last. ???
