Behind dash wiring? Vert vs non vert

looking into trying to get a replacement harness for behind my dash on my 87 lx LS1 powered hardtop stang, is there a difference between the Vert and non vert wiring behind dash?

This is what im looking into if i cant find a good harness on here..

and no im not going to give them 200 bucks it says obo so hopefully i find a good sale on here... just curious if anyone knows

I'm 95% sure they are the same. Plugs that aren't used just hang loose.

You do need a 87-89 harness...year is important.

That harness is expensive IMHO

Body and engine style does not matter. Just make sure you get one from a matching year.

well would it matter im not using stock cluster i have autometer cobalt gauges .. aftermarket steering wheel.. no heat or AC in the car either

As far as the cluster is concerned you are going to have to run a few wires, but it shouldn't much matter. How are you wiring the lsx? Painless harness? Factory gm?

It has a trans am harness in it now, im swapping to a new PSI GM harness for t56 because im running a turbo400 trans so less wires, and the harness is sorta hacked up and the plug in adapter to tune the car wasnt responding so its just a wiring mess. Im going to start over and do it my way.

Ouch, sounds like a nightmare. Not sure hw much help you are going to get here with that kind of swap. Corral has a hybrid tech forum for just this kind of thing.
