What year 351 W is the best for my fox? And what stroker works best. Will be running nitrous. Also found a guy that has a lightning 1993 engine any advantage over standard truck 351? Thanks Scott
Which year is based on opinion...same goes for which stroker. Most people will suggest a 393w or 408w. One advantage in the newer blocks is that you will not have to use a flat tappet cam (even though there are ways around them in the older ones as well).
go big and walk home. 427 with a large shot of gas and in my opinion sooner than later will lead to failure. 408 is what I am shooting for this spring. I've heard nothing but good things.
Like others have said, i would go with 393w or 408W, anything bigger and the stroke becomes longer than 4" and many people say that this is a longevity issue.... I went with a 408 and love it. I will be hitting the track soon with my new Super Victor Fogger kit 200-500HP, should be a blast !!!!1!
