Best cam for the job?

Why not just go with the Stage One, Trick Flow designed it with the heads and intake in mind for go allaround performance at a decent price. I am Installing almost a similar setup except I am going with the Track Heat intake. I had the street setup on my 93' lx and loved the cam. It also worked well with my vortech and may go well with the 125 shot, but I know very little about nitrous and the cam needs so maybe there are better choices. I am interested in what you come up with.

I'm thinking of the budget route.

It seems to me that you have gone with quality equipment and supporting mods, and then decide to cheap out on the 1 piece of the puzzle that ties everything together?

I bet if you stop going to the bar/club and cut down on coffee and junk food, you'll be amazed at how fast you can make up the difference in price between a cheap OTS and a custom grind. An FTI grind is 325 bucks... the trickflow mentioned above is around 160. If you can save 20 bucks a week, you make up the difference in 2 months!

Since you are a fellow 94-95 :SNSign: kinda guy
and
Since I'm a all around ... Nice Guy :Zip2: :rlaugh:

I dug around in my files and found some stuff :D

I know the intakes are Edels
but
they both are the longer runner flavor like yours
and
it ain't gonna make all that much difference ;)

As you can see ... both got your heads :)

One has an Ed cam and the other the TFS

btw ... Chad ... if you can fill in the details for us

I got a sneaking suspicion Chad was runnin shortys

They both peak about the same
but
the mid range is something to be considered
and
if my suspicions about shortys is so
then
Chads lower end would look a good bit more healthy

Both sign off kinda early but with the long runner intakes
that is nothing uncommon

anyway ... something for you to look at
and
ponder about the differences ;)

the thing for me is that id o not plan on keeping the nitrous.
I plan on a procharger on a 347. :nice:
1st the procharger then the 347 sometime later. I really dont want to spend the money on a cam that i would use for a short time. I was thinking the TFS Stage 1 or Stage 2 cam, or maybe a letter cam or comp cam for now.
then the get the custom once i have the main peices. who knows when that will be:shrug:

Give Anderson Ford Motorsport a call...he can custom grind cams or he may have a semi custom cam already cut. He's a great guy and He'll LISTEN to want you have/need/and want. I think the cams are around $300 but definately worth it...I have one ready for my 500 hp plus N/A motor.
