So I am in need of new rubber up front....could use some insight as to what suits best. I don't think it would make sense to put drag radials on the front of the car. I'm replacing the front rims since mine are scarred up from previous owner. Width and brands would be greatly appreciated

What brand DRs are you running? Why not install the same brand Sport radial on the front?

I have sumitomo's all the way around they are good all weather tire, though since I dont drive my Mustang much in the winter now I may change them..... anyway I do like them for an all around tire.

I'm running 555r in the back....are the standard 555 considered just a sport tire....? I thought theyre still considered drag radials.

I run 275/40-17 Nitto NT555s all the way around on my car. No problems at all. My current set has over 35k miles on them, with somewhere between 5k and 10k left. I run the same size NT555R drag radial at the track on the rears.

I went with Sumitomo HTRZ II - 265/35/ZR18 fronts. I only drive my Mustang every once in a while though.. Tires are nice though.

Just have to be careful with them in wet weather. The 555r have a decent amount of thread on them.

Lucky for me my car is not a daily driver and doesn't go out in the rain. But I've noticed a total difference now that temps are dropping....its nothing to break the 315's loose at 60mph

I am sure they do! The 555r will break loose a bit in cold weather but that's with the 275s on it.

Could you post some pictures? My 02 kenne bell gt is the same color as yours with the same rims. I have 17 x 9s on mine all around though. I am curios to what the 315s with a deep dish bullet rim would look like.

I would go with the Nitto 555s. I love mine! I've got about 30k miles on them so far and there is 4/32nds of tread remaining. Not bad for spirited driving including strip runs.
