once my ignition gets sorted out, i wil be in that ball park and i use the spec stage 2, kinda grabby for the street but not unbearable, it just doesn't like to take off slow lol, other than that it feels nice and solid when you put your foot to the floor

I have the same clutch as 5spd..the CF stage II.. I was using centerforce back in my turbo 4banger days (should note those "days" were back in the late 80'd early 90's) and have always had good luck with centerforce taking serious abuse and holding up. I love their product and would not hesitate for one second to recomend them. The clutch has nice pedal feel and engages really well.

just tossing in a vote for the spec stage 2

I have a stage 1 in my stock mustang, and it's fantastic. low pedal effort, no chattering, and man does it grab hard

I have the king cobra with im guessing a 300 rwhp motor havent dynoed the car yet still breaking it in. My clutch fells great I had a spec stage 1 and it was **** pedal got harder then hell and was gone with in a few months and that was put in during the winter so no racing on it.

spec clutchs (more specifically stage ones) are famous for BAD chatter. it's very, very common. Stage two's don't chatter as much, but are very likely to kill off your transmission. I tried spec, chatter like a ****er, ripped it out for a centerforce dual friction. Chatter issues with the centerforce are rare, compared to the spec clutches.

what holds more, a stage two centerforce, or the dual fricition?

A stage 2 holds 60% more than stock and the DF holds 90% more over stock.

I got the stage 2 for ease of pedal and I like the pedal feel and it isn't as hard on my tranny like a DF would be. The stage 2 holds my 300rwhp easily from what I have seen...

Heres what it comes down to ..

King cobra kit for $279 ..

Centerforce II for $450 ..

Should i save money and go for the king cobra? Or is the centerforce II such a better clutch its worth the money...

Thanks
