First of all, did you read the article I posted ?? And to answer your question, when it comes to marketing and advertising claims you often read about?? No I don't believe in any of them..However there's a very huge difference between vendors pitching false advertising claims compared to one of the top 20 SCT tuners in the US who conducted an independant comparison of 11 different cold air intakes both with and without tuning, in addition if you look at the very last page of the article you'll also notice that MD motorsports who conducted the testing lists both his website and phone number along with each of the cold air kits that were tested...Although I can agree that if a system was designed that would draw colder air from the fenderwell ? I'd be all for it..But on the other hand, you'll discover for yourself that most of us forum members are not willing to risk cutting large holes in the fenderwell's of their brand new cars for just a few more HP. (myself included) it's just not worth it...Therefore, until either yourself or somebody else happens to come up with a better design ?? my fellow forum members along with myself, will continue on with our current cold air and tuner packages that have been proven time and time again, to produce the best performance results..end of story
BTW, even if you could run a larger hose into the fenderwell, what would that accomplish ?? you would still have to cut a larger hole in the fenderwell, in order to gain any real benefit anyhow..
