I really need some honest feedback. I am lloking for a good mid pipe that is going to be loud as hell but also give me some performance. I currently have magnapacks, what would you guys go with. Right now i am between the bassani o/r bx series, mac prochamber, magnaflow o/r, mrt o/r, or the slp o/r. If you had to decide knowing what i am looking for what would ytou do. I am leary of the prochamber cause they rust. I can not decide what to do and i have the bug to buy. Anything would be helpful.
Thanks

Stev

I've had a Mac O/R H and a Prochamber. The PC is going to be quieter than an O/R H. So if loud is what you want strike the Prochamber.

PROVEN to be the best mid-pipe as far as performance gains and also sounds really really really good is the Dr. Gas O/R X

i'd go with the mrt h-pipe for 2 reasons:

1) it's one of, if not the highest quality pipes out there (304 ss)

and

b) it's the only h-pipe and it sounds nice with the magnapacks

Dr. Gas all the way. PC makes a good deal of power (i dont feal it, but its proven) but trust me on this one, it's far from loud as hell. If you can't afford Dr. Gas i'd just go with some kinda H.

if you want the prochamber, and it rusts, you should look into having it ceramic coated. that would be one way around the rust. otherwise if you cant deal with the rust, you are gonna have to get somethin' else.

you really can't beat an h pipe though. they sound good with everything and they all sound the same. x pipes sound bad with some mufflers and they are deff. not all the same.

on a stock car from what I have read a prochamber will give you more power than any other midpipe. There is speculation on this but that is what I have heard. Also, I have the prochamber with spintech prostreets which sounds flat out sick. I have heard the pc w/ flows which sounds just as sick...well not quite, with packs it sounds great, with flowpaths it sounds great.....get my point. X pipes all have different sounds and to me most of them sound like trash. There are some that sound great but for the most part they are raspy as hell. And H pipes, well there time has passed, technology has passed them by.

....oh yeah....dr. gas is supposed to be a great piece, well pieces. The only thing is if I remember correctly it is around 300 bones and you have to weld it all together yourself. That would bother me. 300 bucks for bent metal that you have to put together and weld. To each there own I guess but from the clips I have heard I wasn't too impressed with the sound of it either. But that could have been the quality of the video also. Anyone want to post a good clip of a Dr. Gas I would love to hear a clean crisp sound of one. hope this helps

Flowtech offroad Hpipe , dirt cheap and like someone else said all the Hpipes are loud and sound good no matter what muffler you run and the flowtechs are cheap enough in $$$ but I had one and it fit great , just change the factory studs out for some regular ones from napa no matter what pipe you get so you wont have leaks .
