best mod for under $200

Stack of magnets from Ace Hardware = $1.75
Tube of generic Super Glue = $0.99

Having an ashtray door that stays closed = PRICELESS

Best mod I ever did. :nice:

If it hadn't already been installed before I bought the car, however, I'd say a good shifter, FWA, and aluminum quad would be an ultra-awesome cheap mod on ANY Fox, stock or otherwise.

Gears?? I wish I could find somewhere to do that job for around $200.00, maybe im in the wrong area, I can't do those myself and the guys in our shop are saying they are not hard but tricky with the gapping???????? I sell the repairs not perform them.
If anyone in my area knows where to go plzzz chime in.

Oh yea let me know where the back rub thing is hapening at as well. LOL :)

$200 mod

hey there thanks for all of the advice. current mods are: removed air box installed a cone filter on the stock rubber pipe, hooker headers, 4:10 gears, aod trans w/ shift kit shimmed to 5000k shifts, 14* timing, bfg t/a radials 275/50/15...im going to buy the belt to bypass the steering pump today. but i only have $200 because i just payed $1800 for the car..lol.not too shabby considering the car has centerline drag wheel perfect body interior is what you would see on a 88lx but all of the mods were done by prior owner..not to mention it leaks no fluid and i live in delaware but the guy doing the inspection said the car ran such a good sniff test it would have passed in cali. well again thanks for the advice i may just save up for a trick flow intake...how does the explorer intakes hold up against a aftermarket intake setup?

Check the timing and bump it if it isn't up around 14 or 15 already. Another free mod will be to ditch that cone filter and put your airbox back on with a drop in filter. You just turned your perfectly good actual cold air intake into a hot air intake.
