Hello folks - I'm looking for the best place to buy Ford Racing GT-40 Heads and Intake at the lowest price.

I'm internet savvy and have searched around, and I also get a few Mustang magazines that provide many many places to buy at an average price of $600 and $1000 for the intake and heads respectively.

I would like to challenge you guys to find the rock-bottom best price. My thought is that the network of folks on this message board could use this thread to share the name of that rare company that is willing to go against the grain of "suggested retail price" for these items.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Heads Part#: M-6049-Y303
Intake Part#: M-6001-A50

very true.

if you have patience just search around on the classifieds of stangnet and corral... ive seen lightly used gt-40x heads go for mid 600s and you can hit up Junk yards for that intake since its the same as an 5.0 explorer. seen one for 50 bucks a few months ago at my local JY

Thanks for the positive responses - but this is not going the way I expected because I failed to indicate that I am looking for the "exact parts that are new from a company" rather than "used items or alternatives from an individual on ebay".

I bet someone out there has recently experienced a savings on these new items, and I would like to know what company(s) they turned to.

Because I am confident there is a savings somewhere, I will send $20 via paypal to the individual that first identifies the lowest price for BOTH items in this thread by Sunday May 7th at 10:00 eastern.

Most times money saved via 'cheaper pricing' is lost to over priced shipping. Stick with major suppliers and don't try to damn hard to save a buck. Most often that "savings" will be lost somewhere along the way in the dealings with unknown companies and your hard earned cash.

amen..or grab a set of gt40 irons, port em with a used cobra intake and E cam...lost of power and 1g or less. No car owner is more anal when it comes to parts than me..and I would have no issues with used components. Fresh paint on the intake, few days with the heads at the builders shop and all done, however the cam is a "new" item only in my book.

Gentlemen - Many of you have done things with your cars that I can only dream of doing, and that is why I respect this forum. I bet each of you had a goal and created a plan and budget to get to your end result. I have done the same thing, and the plan is to find these specific items at the lowest price. I do not plan to waiver on what I am looking for. I am looking for some help with the hunt for the lowest price, not critcism on my choice of parts or suggestions on aternative parts. I haven't fallen off the turnip truck either, as I would not go throw my cash at the lowest price without looking at the fine print. But I would like to be led to the company that has a low price so I can at least read that fine print. I'm not a business owner trying to promote anything; just a Telecom Manager that wants to leverage someone's research and buy & bolt on some performance that will get me to 305hp.

89White - thanks for the site and suggestion for the swirls, but I'm looking for the Y303's. Because the swirls are $999, wouldn't you think the Y303's could be found much cheaper?

Good luck with your project. i can definitely admire you for sticking to what you want. Most places sell the y heads only about $50 less than the x heads. I would seriously keep looking on ebay, somebody is bound to have a brand new set that they cant afford to keep. Swoop in and buy em for 7-800. Peace....

What is this? The Price is Right? lol

The price was right for 89White50. I sent him $10 for his help (he won the challenge for providing a link for the heads, even though there was no real competition from others).

Based on the feedback in this thread, the folks in the stangnet.com community appear to always pay suggested retail for new items, or go to ebay to get their deals on used stuff.

My thought WAS that the network of folks on this message board could use this thread to share the name of that rare company that is willing to go against the grain of "suggested retail price" for these new items.

I was wrong, and I lost on the showcase showdown.
