It's now 142k later and the aode is flling apart. it drops out of OD randomly, changes gears like crap and its killing the cars performance. I'm gonna replace it with a new one with all the upgrades and a 2500 stall 12 3/4" converter. Anyone know any reputable companies to go through? I need one asap. The stock one is driving me up the wall!

Check out www.tccoa.com . Look in thier message boards under group purchases and I think they are doing one right now. Post in there also about some good places to get an aode and you might find a local place or someone. But if not lentec is good.

lentec is massive expensive. Anyone know if http://www.transmissioncenter.net/aode.htm are any good? It looks like a good deal for the interceptor package for $1800 to $2300 with the 2500 stall converter included.

It looks like a good deal. I just want a custom one that has all the flaws weeded out and all the upgrades installed. So far, $2150 is the best deal. Thats with a new converter.

Check to see what it would cost to have yours rebuilt locally. You want upgraded internals, wider O/D band, shift kit, etc.

I paid $1,200 the first time and it wasn't done right, then moved to MO and found a guy that rebuilt it for $450 this last time.

I bought a stall from www.edgeracingconverters.com and dropped almost a full second in the 1/4.
